Yuval Noah Harari’s second book Homo Deus looks at what the future will look like and makes predictions. I have not read Homo Deus but it is on my to read list.

With the rate at which technology is going the main concern is that once technology can do what humans can do will there be a new irrelevant class? And if so what does that mean? Will the split between social classes ever be bridged?
Most technology starts with the wealthy because of the expense before being able to mass produce. Will biotechnology create superhumans and will the superhumans have different laws and rules then others?
Will religion and the stories we create have meaning anymore when we have an Artificial Intelligence that can solve all our problems? One of the main reasons our species are the dominant species is because of our ability to cooperate mostly through stories.
Yuval Noah Harari trys to answer and question our modern day problems. We believe we have time to solve these problems, but the rate at which technology advances we may not have as much time as we think.
We aren’t talking centuries from now we are talking within the next couple decades. It is most likely that my generation will be making decisions whether to upload our mind to the interweb or be facing very scary climate problems that may be irreversible if we don’t take action now.
